Unlike most intuitives, Althea discovered her abilities at the age of thirty. This ability arose out of an extremely trying and difficult period of her life. One of her biggest messages is that, just like physical muscles, your spiritual muscles grow when they have something to resist against. Sometimes the worst things that ever happen to you turn out to be the most remarkable.

Synopsis of Speech Given at New Genesis Baptist Church

I'm here to help you shine your light in the darkness, and to remain in the light, no matter what you are facing. I'm here today to help you change your mind about whatever difficult situation you are facing. Whether it's money, job, family, lover/spouse, home, co-worker. I'm here to tell you that instead of wishing that the problem or person would simply disappear, look at the problem as a spiritual lesson. Eight out of ten people will admit that the worst thing that ever happened to them turned out to be the best thing.
Specific things you can do:Acknowledge it: admit that you need to change something.
Self-study: what do I need to change? Difficulty of self-analysis.
Surrender to God: It's the attitude of deep acceptance the inevitable hardships and disappointments of life without resistance, without constantly wishing that things were different. Surrendering instantly gives us back the energy we've spent in resisting our lives, in feeling victimized, frustrated or despairing. It is the most profound alignment with reality-and it opens us up to love.
Once you truly believe and have faith that God is in control, that there really is a divine plan at work, THEN can you embody your spirituality. Because it's easy to have faith when things are going great. Itâs when times are tough that your faith is called into question. In your daily life, then:
Always remain calm, no matter how bad it looks
In your peacefulness, ask: what am I to learn from this situation?
In a challenging situation ask; Allow me to speak from my heart center.
All this is simply changing your mind and seeing the God in all people and things.
